Our little wedding site

Posted by admin on Jun 21 2007 | Internet Stories

Joelle and I started this little wedding site last year as just a way for people to post their wedding services online for free. Joelle did a lot of the work early on, but since she is now working at CU, I have taken over as much as time permits, which is pretty much just writing content, adding listings, and photos. The site is really starting to get a nice pop in traffic, and we have had some nice remarks on the site. Anyways, this post is a shameless plug for Wedding Board.

Gmaps Pedometer - How far did you run or walk?

Posted by admin on Jun 18 2007 | Gadgets & Tech, Health

I ran 4.3824 miles today. I am not trying to massage my ego in any way (especially since that’s not an incredibly long run). But - I am really excited about this new mapping tool that I found that will map your course on your run or walk and tell you exactly how far you went. It’s the Gmaps Pedometer!

This cool tool uses google maps. To start, just zoom into your neighborhood. Then, hit the “start recording” button. Next, double-click your starting point, and then just double at each turn along your route. It will tally the miles as you go. Try the calorie counter. My run burned 629 calories.

Kewl!

Do you know Jack Schitt?

Posted by admin on Jun 18 2007 | Funny Stuff

This is a good chuckle that has been circulating!

For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, ‘You don’t know Jack Schitt!’
Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.

Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate,
married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack.

In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt..

Against her parents’ objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school
dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.

Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse.

Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.

Now when someone says, ‘You don’t know Jack Schitt,’ you can correct them.

Sincerely,
Crock O. Schitt
